Guys? Guyyys! I DID IT! I taught my first Zentangle Class.
Last weekend I went to Maine for a girl’s family weekend at my cousin’s house. We spent the day wrapped in holiday cheer, visiting craft fairs and walking around downtown Kennebunk. Everyone was pretty exhausted by the end of the day, so we opted for a relaxed evening of an Intro to Zentangle class. They liked it so much that after our finishing our initial tile they wanted to do more. So I pulled out some bijou’s and taught them another few tangle options. I loved sharing my new experience with the ladies of my family, and I am thankful that I had a warm, creative and supportive group to “dip my toes into the water.”
I hope it will never cease to amaze me how different and individually beautiful each tile is – and how they work so well together, yet each have their own little personality. I had 5 participants, ranging from a 26 year-old cousin to my Gram at 80+ years young. They did unbelievably awesome, and I think I may have too.
That’s it, I’m hooked, and excited to start planning my teaching schedule in 2015. Now, to finish all my crafty-gifts before Christmas. (I promise, I’ll post them when complete. I don’t want to spoil the surprise since I’m pretty sure the gift-receivers will be reading this blog post.)
