Greetings! Jaime and I had a great time meeting all the newly engaged couples today at the Vermont Wedding Association‘s Bridal Show at the DoubleTree in Burlington. Seeing everyone planning their wedding made us get excited for warmer weather and another awesome season of weddings. We look forward to chatting with you, thanks to the VWA for hosting this lovely event!

Our brand-new magazine-style catalog made its debut today, and I’ve already got plans to add more articles… A Q&A with a real bride and some tips from the pros. I think it could be a fun collaboration of wedding goodness… so check back soon to see. Until then, here is a little sneak peek:

I know, I know, looking at these pictures you can tell I didn’t take these yesterday. They were in fact captured this summer on the Burlington Waterfront and beautiful Shelburne Marina. I’ve just been feeling a bit of winter blues and thought I should spice up the blog with some sweet and summery portraits.

Does your current headshot exude professionalism & your personality? From relaxed and casual to formal, we’ve got you covered! Click here to see other social media head shots I’ve taken, they are a great way to give your clients the best first impression on Twitter, Facebook, LinkedIn… the list could go on.

Sunday, February 5, 2012. Week 6.

I’m going to be honest here. I really was not feeling motivated to work on this project. My Grandfather passed away last week, and ever since his service I have had the song Amazing Grace stuck in my head. Normally I would find this to be quite annoying, but I love that it keeps Gramps in my thoughts. Amazing Grace was stuck in my head the whole time I was shooting these pictures, and I think the lyrics just may have subliminally inspired me. (And I would like to think Gramp may have had a little help with the awesome colors of this wintry Vermont sunset.)

I dedicate this blog post to you, Gramp. You will be greatly missed and fondly remembered every time I hear that darn song.

Amazing Grace, how sweet the sound,
That saved a wretch like me.
I once was lost but now am found,
Was blind, but now I see.

T’was Grace that taught my heart to fear.
And Grace, my fears relieved.
How precious did that Grace appear
The hour I first believed.

Through many dangers, toils and snares
I have already come;
‘Tis Grace that brought me safe thus far
and Grace will lead me home.

The Lord has promised good to me.
His word my hope secures.
He will my shield and portion be,
As long as life endures.

Yea, when this flesh and heart shall fail,
And mortal life shall cease,
I shall possess within the veil,
A life of joy and peace.

When we’ve been here ten thousand years
Bright shining as the sun.
We’ve no less days to sing God’s praise
Than when we’ve first begun.
