It’s Friday, September 23rd. It is also the first day of Fall. For my loyal blog followers, you know it is “Day 1.” For my new internet-friends, it is the first day of my annual photo project, “40 Days of Fall” (see past posts.) As a brief summary, I will take at least one photo daily from today, the first day of Fall, for 40 consecutive days. So without further adieu:
Friday, September 23, 2011. Day 1.
I thought it would be appropriate to start this year’s project with my favorite place to shoot in Hinesburg, Lake Iroquis. This also happens to be one of my favorite trees, and you will see more of it as I document its descent into Autumn. Think it will take 40 days for all the leaves to fall off?
I personally am still in a Summery-mood, and found myself taking pictures of berries, flowers and tree bark, not so much on the foliage part… I think I’m in a little bit of denial as to how quickly the summer flew by. But since Autumn is the most wonderful time of the year, I think I’ll transition just fine. Stop back tomorrow to see my next adventure!
