I must admit, I was a little bummed on my actual birthday. The mid-May day came and went, and although it was nice to go shopping with my parents and see old friends for dinner, the day went by without too much fan fair. When people asked what I did on my “special day” I rolled my eyes and told them I got an overly-expensive haircut and went bra shopping with my parents. No joke, a kinda lame birthday… or so I thought.
A few weeks ago I had hoped/suspected something was up but soon dismissed it when nothing ever happened. I figured it had been too long since my birthday that no one would think to throw me a party. Damn, was I wrong!
I think Jaime deserves a Husband-of-the-Year Award. Not only did he manage to throw a party with my closest friends, but he was able to do so without me having any idea! The party was perfectly “me” with a theme of little things: tiny disc golf baskets, mini foods and mini drinks galore. He even rigged up a mini photo-booth setup, which was the life of the party. I will cherish these pictures forever. I really REALLY love this man, and all the sneaky hard work he put into making my 30th so special. Quite frankly better than I could have imagined.
I’ve highlighted a few of my favorite photo-booth pics, although there are many more awesome ones, I wanted to keep this post fairly clean. Thank you to my dear friends who treated me like royalty and helped to usher in my next 30 years. I love you all and am so appreciative of our friendship. I am one lucky girl, thank you so much for helping to remind me of that. From the bottom of my heart, thanks!
