For any of you who have seen us photograph a wedding, Jaime and I have quite the working relationship. Silently the two of us choreograph an ebb and flow dance of sorts. We’re capturing fleeting moments in our own styles, complimenting each others work and adding to the wedding story. For the kiss I usually am in the aisle taking a long shot of the embrace, while Jaime will have a tighter view to capture the emotions. When he’s on a ladder, I’m laying on the ground. When he’s photographing Grandma dance, I’m capturing Grandpa looking proudly on. You get the idea, we work well together. Really, really well. It transcends husband and wife, we are an all-star team (if I do say so myself) with our biggest supporters/critics being each other.
So what is a girl to do when said Husband is invited to go film the Olympics for an entire month in the middle of wedding season? First I did a happy dance for him, and then I hired an assistant (and then I bought tickets to London to go see him afterwards!) So this post is a bit of a “welcome” as well as an introduction to our newest team member. For now we call her “Assistant Mia,” our right hand lady, and Letter10-er in training. We may just have to change her name to Jayme…
Mia has a great timeless sense of style that will add a bit of happy/buttery/sunshine to our portfolio of work. She also has the uncanny ability to make people feel comfortable in front of the camera, and gets super excited about people in love. Case in point, these are some images we hired her to take for our business marketing. If she can make my mug look good, imagine what she can do with a gorgeous & glowing bride? To see more images and vote on which one I should use for social media, check out our Facebook page. Please help, I simply cannot choose just one, I love them all.
Welcome to the Letter10 family Mia, we’re very excited to have you on board!
Interested in learning more about her? Well she has a brand-spanking new website, a Facebook page, and is on Twitter. She’s also a freelance writer and Mommy to a kiddo with THE BEST head of hair. And we love her.
